Crista and Gert Diever actually run the 170-year-old authentic family farm<\/strong> with their family. 20 years ago they decided to share this little paradise on Lake Tjeukemeer<\/strong> with you. They were one of the first farmers to partner with Boerenbed <\/strong>and years later transformed the carriage house into the Sm\u00fbk Huske<\/strong>. These days, you can increasingly experience the Sm\u00fbk feeling. So you can bring your own small (retro) camper or rent a Sm\u00fbk Tent or Sm\u00fbk Tiny<\/strong>! Sanne helps Crista with bookings and sharing Sm\u00fbkkige stories on social media. Femke makes sure the beds are cozy and keeps the interior warm and homey. You will encounter Jente mainly while mowing the lawn and accompany you with electric sloops. <\/p>\n It is important to the family that they are able to provide a nature-inclusive site for everything that lives.<\/strong> Because time at Sm\u00fbk is peaceful, everything is maintained with attention and love<\/strong>. This is also how the family came to the unique breed of cows, the Friesian red and white cow. This authentic breed proved to be very thin and needed a fine place to reproduce. Now they have a nice life, with the calves staying with their mothers for a long time and the girls maintaining the breed with another farmer. Gert’s grandparents moved into the farmhouse in 1939. They provided place for people in hiding during the war and raised their family of 3 children, including Gert’s father.
