Outdoor kitchen<\/h2>\n

On the camping field, you’ll find a cool outdoor kitchen<\/strong> under a tent, free for all guests to use. It’s handy if you haven’t brought everything with you, but above all, it’s just very cozy. Cooking together with your Sm\u00fbk neighbors might just become the best moment of your day. <\/p>\n

Want to brew a cup of coffee and sit in the shade for a while? You can do that here too. The outdoor kitchen is just as much a place for a chat as it is for cooking. <\/p>\n

In the outdoor kitchen, you’ll find a small fridge, induction hobs, pans, cutlery, and crockery. Next to the outdoor kitchen is a wood-fired pizza oven<\/strong> and there is a campfire spot<\/strong> for communal use. You can borrow fire bowls and fill a cart with wood for a small fee. <\/p>\n

In the old farm barn, you’ll find a warm living room with soft light bulbs, farmhouse tables, and vintage chairs. A place to be together, but also to retreat for a moment. <\/p>\n

Spend an evening playing Rummikub or enjoy a gourmet grill with the family. Sit quietly in a chair and listen to the creaking of the old timber frame. The little ones can enjoy themselves in the play kitchen. <\/p>\n

Or walk in with rosy cheeks from your hike for a cold beer from the fridge. Simply note down what you take in a notebook; trust is a matter of course here. <\/p>\n

Is your stomach starting to rumble? Take a stroll to the farm shop. Fresh vegetables, a good piece of cheese, a bottle of wine, or a steak from the Red Pied cow on the yard. The freezer is stocked with meat from our own farm and stews for those who don’t feel like cooking.
If you’re lucky, Crista will have just baked her famous apple pies to go with your coffee! <\/p>\n

Animals in the yard<\/h2>\n

Goats, horses, and cows are just part of the family here. The Red Pied cows and their calves graze in the meadow, Famke the dog wanders the yard, and the chickens do what chickens do. <\/p>\n

Quite special: the Black-tailed Godwit has returned to our meadow. This Kening fan de Greide<\/em> \u2014 the King of the Meadows \u2014 thrives best where nature is in balance. By mowing later, raising the water level, and creating wetlands, we can hear his call again in the spring. Bring your binoculars and go spot them. <\/p>\n

Out on the water<\/h2>\n

The grounds are located on the Pier Christiaansloot. From the jetty, you can sail straight into the Frisian lakes district, towards Tjeukemeer, Sloten, or Langweer.
Grab a canoe \u2014 free for all guests \u2014 or rent a SUP or the Sm\u00fbk sloop for a day on the water. The water map, life jackets, and a beautiful route are ready for you. <\/p>\n

You can swim in the natural waters all year round, summer or winter. Find a spot along the bank and jump in. <\/p>\n

In addition to the living room, Sm\u00fbk has a separate, heated space that you can reserve as a group (up to 12 people). Your own place to come together with family or friends. <\/p>\n

Everyone sleeps in their own tent, cottage, or camper, but you’ll meet again around the long farmhouse table. Breakfast together, enjoy a gourmet grill, have drinks, or just catch up. With the children running around in the living room and a good glass of wine on the table.
